Sumel Leather migrated from Sumel Pottery that was operational from the late 80's and in many ways took the forefront in creative pottery. However, when grand children and later great grand children made their entries into our lives, pottery had to take the back stage.
Now that some of the grand children are becoming grown-ups and other are in the mid-teens, and the great grand children are making their entrants into our lives, the tranquility of leather craft appealed to us and has now become more than a hobby.
THE K9 AND AFRICAN CONNECTIONS
Not really fully understanding the world of working dogs, I none-the-less ventured into this, not- so-quite or for that matter, easy business environment. I also do have the scars to proof my love and passion for working dogs. The first K9 we sold into an African country caused myself to weep a solitary tear when no-one was looking!
Our K9 connection caused the appearance of quality leather for dog accessories such as collars, leashes and harnesses, which will form an important topic in my future blogs.
Being born in Nairobi Kenya provides the African connection. We will mostly be blogging about leather craft and quality affordable leather products as well as everyday leather fashion products with an African fling.
